    The Laumeier Sculpture Park is an open-air art gallery in southwest St. Louis County. It has more than 70 contemporary sculptures by local and international artists. Artwork is arranged throughout acres (42 hectares) of parkland, with walking trails, woods and open fields. An stone mansion also houses an indoor gallery and a museum shop. Laumeier Sculpture Park is a magnificent destination for travelers eager to connect with nature. It's just one of the reasons that many travelers visit the marvelous city of St. Louis every year. You will find 5 hotels that are within 2 miles (3 kilometers) of Laumeier Sculpture Park.

    The Art Hike Trail is the longest trail in the park at miles. The short,mile Western Woodland Trail provides a quick and pleasant hike along the west side of the park. Laumeier presents a variety of educational programs, special events, art classes, workshops, and art camps throughout the year.   Laumeier will host a free lecture and book signing by Dr. Susan Cahan, Associate Dean of the Arts at Yale University and author of Mounting Frustration: The Art .
